10,000 dead fish discovered near Thuringian dam

According to Markus Kaufmann from the Bürgerinitiative Wohnung Apfelstädt, no water should actually be drained in winter because the fish are in deep water. The initiative suspects that the Thuringian Long-Distance Water Supply (TFW) turned up the drain so much this time that the fish were carried away. They were then pushed through the pipes out of the reservoir against a grid, where they died. The fish then flowed through the drainage ditch into the apple towns.
