The provisional results of the regional elections of April 29, 2024 are proclaimed by the CENI on May 6. 21 seats are allocated to women, or approximately 12% of seats.
They are activists of the Bâtir parties (1); FDR (2), PSR (1) and UNIR (17). In total, 179 regional councilors are elected for all of Togo, including 158 regional councilor seats and 21st regional councilors.
The ADDI party of Professor Aimé Gogué leaves, in total, with 8 regional advisors; ANC 9, Building 5; CAR 1; DMP 4; FDR 3; HP 1; NET 1; New Start 1; PDP 1; PSR 2; UFC 5; VSV 1 and UNIR 127.
The electorate, communicates the President of the CENI, Dago Yabré, amounted to 4,203,711 with 2,565,623 voters, i.e. a participation rate of 61.03%. “These results will be transmitted without delay to the Supreme Court for the continuation of the procedure,” he indicated.
Note that these regional elections which were organized for the first time in the country and are part of the decentralization process initiated by Togo with the organization of municipal elections in 2019.
