A total of 3,900 educational institutions, including schools and colleges, return to the presence this Monday, January 29, 2024.

The return corresponds to the third phase implemented by the Ministry of Education throughout the country.

The entity stated: “after an analysis, and under the security criteria of law enforcement institutions, this Monday, January 29, 3,900 educational institutions have returned to in-person attendance.”

Now there are 14,704 educational institutions that are in person throughout the national territory.

The Ministry reported that these more than 17 thousand institutions bring together 3,608,333 students and 177,070 teachers.

According to Ministry figures, this is equivalent to 92.55% of educational units that are already in person.

Non-presence was adopted on January 10, one day after President Daniel Noboa recognized the existence of an internal armed conflict through Executive Decree 111.

For the return to presence, the District Directorates of the Ministry They notified the schools and colleges in their jurisdictions.

From there the educational institutions were informed.

The Ministry of Education clarified that the schools and colleges that were not notified until January 26, “it is understood that they remain non-presential.”

Parents and students must be aware of the communications issued by the Ministry of Education.
