The Neiva Police, in collaboration with units of the Municipal Transit Secretariat, carried out an operation to control and deter illegal motorcycle races in the south of the city. During the execution of these activities, a total of 56 motorcycles were immobilized.

The FÉNIX Group of the Neiva Metropolitan Police and the units of the Municipal Transit Secretariat joined forces in a comprehensive operational plan, deploying dissuasive and control measures to prevent illegal motorcycle crashes in commune 6 of Neiva.

Uniformed personnel carried out searches, prevention plans, control and background requests, addressing various points used to carry out illegal motorcycle competitions. The effective collaboration of these entities resulted in the intervention of the main avenues in the sector, with the immobilization of 56 motorcycles due to various irregularities in documentation and misuse of the roads.

Colonel Alexander Castillo Marín, commander of the Neiva Metropolitan Police, expressed that similar interventions will continue to be carried out in different parts of the city. The main objective is to counteract illegal picketing, improve coexistence and reinforce citizen security.

It is worth mentioning that the mayor of Neiva, Germán Casagua, reported last week that mobility operations will be reinforced at night in order to counteract illegality and prevent the commission of crimes.
