A partnership between the “Ball League” and the Tourism Office

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation signed, on Wednesday, a strategic partnership agreement with the Moroccan National Tourist Office, at the Mohammed VI Football Complex, with the aim of promoting Morocco’s destination through football.

The partnership, signed by Fawzi Lakjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, and Adel El Fakir, Director General of the Moroccan National Tourist Office, covers the period from 2023 to 2030.

This agreement also aims to take measures aimed at enhancing the radiance of football and the destination of Morocco at the national and international levels, by integrating the football dimension into the upcoming campaigns of the Moroccan National Tourism Office, which is committed to keeping pace with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation for a comprehensive communication on sports tourism in Morocco. In addition to integrating the national teams into the various communication tools produced by the aforementioned office.

For its part, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation undertakes to guarantee viewing/advertising rights during matches on screens, panels and digital platforms for the Moroccan National Tourism Office, as the official partner, and also undertakes to ensure additional viewing of the Tourism Office on the training jerseys and sports uniforms of the national teams, along with additional mechanisms on sides of the stadium.

In this regard, Fawzi Lakjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, said that this strategic partnership benefits from Morocco’s achievements in the field of football under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, highlighting that this alliance and cooperation with the Moroccan National Tourism Office supports the university’s strategy to advance Moroccan football. And provide them with the necessary expertise to reach the world.

For his part, Adel El Fakir, Director General of the Moroccan National Tourist Office, expressed the honor of the office he heads to work alongside the Royal Moroccan Football Federation to promote Morocco and its sports tourism at the national and international levels.

And he highlighted that the recent heroic performance of the “Atlas Lions” in the Qatar World Cup 2022 created more than 130 million interactions about the content of Morocco, and said, “Our work today will focus on ensuring the survival of this enthusiasm and the continued brilliance of the Moroccan flag.”

Through this partnership, the two parties intend to make football a lever for promoting tourism in Morocco, while strengthening the image of the Kingdom as “Morocco, the land of light” and “Morocco, the land of football”, which is known for organizing sporting events such as the recent Club World Cup in Rabat and Tangiers, and the African Women’s Cup, And other continental and global events.

This partnership forms part of the dynamic of Morocco’s tripartite candidacy with Spain and Portugal to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
