When we talk about the right to abortion in Italy, we are talking about the law 194entered into force on May 22, 1978 to allow women to resort to voluntary termination of pregnancy (Ivg, in abbreviation) in a public facility in the first 90 days of gestation (after this term it can be used, but only for therapeutic reasons).
