CBA Comprehensive | Xinjiang enters the semifinals and Shanghai equalizes the total score

In the latest development of the 2023-2024 Chinese Men’s Basketball Professional League (CBA) playoffs, the Xinjiang team has advanced to the semi-finals after defeating the Guangzhou team 93-71 in an away game. Additionally, the Shanghai team was able to equalize the total score in their series against the Zhejiang team after a thrilling 112-107 victory at home.

The Guangzhou team put up a tough fight against Xinjiang in the fourth game of their series, with both teams being tied at 41-40 in the first half. However, Xinjiang took control in the second half, outscoring their opponents by 16 points in one quarter and ultimately securing a 28-point lead by the end of the game. Foreign aid Wigginton led Xinjiang with 24 points, while Zhao Rui and Qi Lin contributed 18 and 16 points, respectively. On the other side, Barry Brown scored 22 points for Guangzhou, and Chen Yingjun added 20 points.

Meanwhile, the Shanghai team had a standout performance from center Wang Zhelin, who recorded a “double-double” of 31 points and 14 rebounds, including 10 offensive rebounds. Foreign aid Bledsoe also contributed with 28 points as Shanghai managed to equalize the series against Zhejiang.

With the series now tied at 2-2, Shanghai and Zhejiang will face off in a deciding fifth game on the 29th to determine who will advance to the semi-finals and face Xinjiang. The competition and excitement in the CBA playoffs continue to be at a high level as teams battle it out for a chance to compete for the championship title.
