ACERNO – A “baby” love escape to the family home. The host girl runs away with her boyfriend, a local young man of Romanian origin. Fear among the walls of a reception center for minors, located in the Picentini area. The alarm returned only in the evening, when the two were tracked down by the carabinieri of the Compagnia di Battipaglia, under the orders of Major Vitantonio Sisto. The fugitives were hiding in an area of the mountain. The operators of the family home, worried, alerted the police. In the Picentine community involved, the citizens were alarmed. The two, recovered, are fine. They went home. The girl is originally from Cava de ‘Tirreni: there are many family problems, the cause of the custody, ordered by the Juvenile Court, to the Picentine family home. During his stay, he had repeatedly attempted to leave the facility. Then he met some little boys: among them the son of a Romanian woman, married to an Acernese. A family of workers.
Between the two boys it was love at first sight and love broke out, a sentimental story between teenagers. According to what emerged, the boy was willing to help his partner in the escape, to protect her. So the two devised their escape plan, finding a makeshift refuge not far from the town center. The investigators immediately thought that they did not have the economic strength to be able to go away by public transport to make long and expensive journeys. A love escape that triggered so much concern. A day full of anxiety, first of all for the family members, then for the local people who became aware of the incident. The events occurred last Saturday.
The inhabitants of the Picentino municipality immediately thought the worst, worried about what could have happened to two minors. Immediately after the complaint to the carabinieri, the searches began and ended, fortunately, without problems for anyone, in the evening. The two sweethearts were found by the police, also helped by some testimonies of the locals: they had seen them together, while they were walking towards the highest area of the mountain. The two fleeing boys had found a makeshift shelter among the chestnut groves. They probably wanted to spend the night there. Instead, they were intercepted by the military and recovered. They were fine. They were refreshed and brought home safely.
