The ACA made this known, communicating that “our technicians are working to carry out the necessary interventions for the repair of the pipeline which will continue throughout the afternoon until late evening”. According to initial information, workers from a company that was carrying out routine maintenance on a nearby pipeline damaged the pipeline. Work is now underway to lower the water flow pressure, assess the extent of the damage and proceed with the repair. The company will postpone further updates to the next few hours.
The repair work on the main supply line in Viale Bovio is more complex than expected after the breakage which occurred this morning. The works, therefore, the ACA informs us, will continue indefinitely even at night, while initially it was thought they could be completed by the evening. As a result, regular water supply should be restored by tomorrow morning.
