AESVT – Morocco and its partners are organizing the 16th edition of the Rabat University Days, from May 2 to 4, 2024, under the theme: “Rethinking teaching and learning in the light of progress in neuroscience and the era of artificial intelligence”.
According to its organizers; this major event will be an opportunity for exchanges through debates, round tables and field visits to explore educational innovations from neuroscience and AI.
These university days are aimed at all stakeholders in the educational world: teachers and researchers in educational sciences, trainers and educational managers, students in educational sciences and cognitive sciences, political and institutional decision-makers, stakeholders in the private sector involved in education.
To do this, we specify; AESVT Morocco and its partners invite all those interested in these themes to participate in this important event for the future of education.
It should be noted that the major technological, geopolitical, environmental and societal upheavals of the 21st century encourage deep reflection on educational systems. Guided by the latest advances in neuroscience, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a framework conducive to educational innovation and the improvement of teaching-learning processes. To meet the demands of this century, education must focus on developing skills that enable learners to engage creatively and responsibly with the world.

Also remember that SDG 4, target 7, emphasizes education for sustainable development (ESD) and global citizenship (GCE), as well as other forms of value-based education. This goal reflects an international consensus on the importance of soft skills, and particularly life skills, in 21st century education.

Artificial intelligence (AI) for its part; has immense potential to meet the challenges of education, innovate in teaching-learning practices and accelerate the achievement of SDG 4. Its integration in the educational field will make it possible to automate certain tasks, personalize learning by based on the needs and abilities of each student, and to adapt the learning paths taking into account feedback.

AI should be seen as a support tool for teachers, not a substitute. By automating repetitive tasks, it will allow teachers to devote themselves to more rewarding missions, such as individualized monitoring of students and the implementation of richer educational activities.

Also ; It should be noted that the alliance between neuroscience and AI in the field of learning has strong synergistic potential. Indeed, a better understanding of how the brain works will make it possible to develop more efficient AI algorithms that are more adapted to the individual needs of students. Personalized learning, made possible by this synergy, constitutes a major promise to guarantee that each child has the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
