Moroccan actress Hoda Al-Rihani marks a return to the embrace of Moroccan television after years of absence from the world of soap operas and dramas, due to the circumstances of her settling in Canada and devoting herself to her work there and taking care of her small family.

Hoda Al-Rihani will appear before the Moroccan audience, during the upcoming Ramadan season, through a new drama series entitled “Between the Palaces,” directed by Hisham Al-Jabbari and supervised by Bushra Malak, whose script was written. It is produced by Fatna Benkirane, and filming began weeks ago.

The events of the new series revolve around a Moroccan neighborhood with a brilliant past, as artists, prominent politicians, and businessmen graduated from it. But when they gained wealth, they turned their backs on it, and it became in the hands of people who had no jealousy over it, marginalized and a den for drug trafficking and other negative things.

Filming is currently taking place in the Mohammedia neighborhood in Casablanca. But the series does not tell the story of this neighborhood, but rather talks in general about any neighborhood that suffers from marginalization, and when visiting it, the names of characters who grew up in it come to mind. It constitutes a combination of drama, “action,” and humor, and it also carries within it meaningful messages.

The new drama series “Between Palaces” features the participation of a number of the brightest stars of the Moroccan screen. It also represents a return to the Saadia duo of Deeb and Mohamed Khoei after their brilliance in the series “Salamat Abu Al-Banat”, in addition to Aziz Hattab, Saad Mowafaq, Farah Al-Fassi, Maryam Al-Karaa, Maria Lalloise, Saeed Zarif and Hasna Knight. Along with young people, director Hisham Al-Jabbari decided to give them an opportunity to inject new breath into Moroccan drama.
