During the celebration of Mother’s Day, a group of people were dancing outdoors on the Nuevo Lloró boardwalk over the Andágueda River, when suddenly several armed men arrived and began shooting.
One person died and nine were injured. The victim was identified as Jarrinson Rentería Maturana, 20 years old, a student at the Lloró Departmental School where she was in ninth grade.
Disturbed people caused damage to the local health post and seven injured people were sent to the San Francisco de Quibdó hospital.
