Alianza FC will represent Valledupar in professional football

The emotions of Colombian professional football return to the Armando Maestre Pavajeau Stadium, thanks to the management led by the governor of Cesar, Elvia Milena Sanjuán, the mayor of Valledupar, Ernesto Orozco Durán, and the representative to the Chamber, Alfredo Ape Cuello.

Alianza FC was made official as the institution that will represent the colors of the Department and the Municipality, in the BetPlay League, organized by Dimayor, starting on January 21, when it plays as a visitor against Atlético Nacional.

“I declare myself the first fan of Alianza, we have made a joint effort to bring football and joy to Valledupar and Cesar,” said Governor Elvia Milena Sanjuán Dávila.

The conversations for the management and arrival of what has now become the eleventh Vallenato began in June 2023, when the Governor of Cesar and the Mayor of Valledupar approached the team’s managers. This is how each one explained it during the period of their campaigns, to the Government and Mayor’s Office. And they are complying with facts.

“Valledupar was hungry for soccer, but we worked to bring it A soccer, professional soccer. Today we are presenting Alianza FC and with it a whole team of professionals who are welcome to Valledupar. We hope to have many joys and we invite citizens to give them all their support, subscribe and feel the team is ours,” said the mayor of Valledupar, Ernesto Orozco Durán.

Currently, the Mayor’s Office of Valledupar will provide support to the soccer squad through a framework agreement, agreed for four years, and consists of investments from the Municipality of Valledupar and the Department of Cesar.

Likewise, more than 60 people arrive in Valledupar, including players, coaching staff and administrative staff. The inspections for new players will be this January.

Among the benefits for the city are: boosting the sports, tourism, hotel and cultural economy; return of airlines with their flights to Valledupar; visibility of the Department of Cesar and the city of Valledupar at the national and international level; business opportunities at the Armando Maestre Pavajeua Stadium; generation of direct and indirect jobs; opportunities for students of different sports programs at universities and corporations; use and opportunities for sports journalism, among others.

Alianza FC will debut in Valledupar against Deportivo Cali, on January 26, scheduled by Dimayor, at 8:20 p.m. And on February 4, against Junior de Barranquilla.
