It seems that the issue of fools only concerns the left, but let’s look at their answer to the following obligatory question:

For which there is only one answer and it is with which Mario Vargas Llosa baptizes as fools both those who voted and the fools who led other fools to vote stupidly:
-The right, unfortunately, has been an obstacle, it has been a victim of its selfishness, its provincialism. And in Latin America, well, that right is a right that is at the same level as a left that is absolutely out of date.
Fools, without a doubt, very stupid to choose poverty when we have all the possibilities of generating progress and being immensely rich. We feel ashamed of wealth, individual and collective. We have become accustomed to poverty, which is also mental poverty.
A selfish and clumsy left, a selfish and clumsy right and a selfish and clumsy center. Stupid one another. A country accustomed to corruption, a lack of justice, accustomed to chaos, misery, but above all to servility, is foolish. A country in which crime is daily occurrence and impunity is its ally.
What happened to us? We ask ourselves as if the misfortunes, which have not fallen on us from the sky, which are the result of a government that is disgusting, repugnant and that receives widespread rejection, were an irremediable and sinister fate from which we have no escape, as if what was said by Vargas Llosa, that a country can be prosperous or poor depending on its choice, does not concern us, that someone always decides for us and not for the better.
What happened to us to fall so low? The answer could not be clearer: we took the wrong path and, like the fools that we are, we made mistakes again and again, determined to stay in that mistake.
But even for fools there are paths to redemption.
