Sunday August 22, participants will be welcomed by the Arnad Philharmonic Corps

The 45th edition of the Rencontre Valdôtaine will be held in Arnad on Sunday August 22. This traditional meeting, organized by the Presidency of the Region with the collaboration of the institutions of the regional territory, brings together the Valle d’Aosta of the country and the Valle d’Aosta emigrated in the Aosta Valley.

“A sincere thank you to all those who made the 45th edition of the Rencontre Valdôtaine possible, despite all the difficulties and limitations that this pandemic has caused” – these were the first words of the President of the Region Erik Lavevaz during the press conference for this 45th edition. “This demonstration was postponed for a year because of the confinement due to the Covid, but the historical attachment between the Valdôtains of the country and the emigrants has subsequently strengthened. And I am thinking in particular of young emigrants, a real link between our past and the future, who have the important task of defending the identity of the Aosta Valley and safeguarding the French-speaking spirit ”.

“On behalf of the entire Arnad community, I would like to thank the Regional Administration and the Aosta Valley emigrants for choosing our territory for this 45th Rencontre Valdôtaine” said Arnad’s trustee, Pierre Bonel. “The participants will have the opportunity and the pleasure, I hope, to discover our town with its cultural particularities, in particular by visiting the Château Vallaise, as well as to appreciate the typical products of our territory. “
