THE 200 YEARS OF CATULLO

At the end of the delivery of the scholarships, the principal De Lazzer also recalled that 2022 is the year in which the 200th anniversary of the birth of the Catullo institute, the oldest in the province, will be celebrated. “We are already starting to work on all the events that will characterize this anniversary and which will culminate on November 25, the institute’s opening date”.

To take care of the event will be the former headmaster Michele Sardo. “We are thinking of organizing exhibitions, meetings”, anticipates the former executive who in his 23 years of presidency, spent twelve at the Catullo. “To tell the truth, my first day as a manager here was in the Pelos office, which was still active at the time. Born as a sort of school for a company secretary, the school then evolved in response to the changing needs of society and the territory. For this reason we will try to recover the history of this institute where the founder of the Gazzettino, Gianpietro Talamini, born in Vodo di Cadore, also studied, just to name a name. Students will be involved in looking for historical and photographic documentation of this school. The journey has just begun ».
