Lahore (Ummt News) Fast bowler Muhammad Amir has clarified the statement made about national cricket team captain Babar Azam and said that he never called Babar Azam a ‘mid-level player’ or a ‘tail-ender’.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, the left-arm fast bowler praised Babar Azam’s batting technique and called him the best batsman of Pakistan.
Mohammad Amir said, “First of all, I would like to ask those who have misrepresented this matter to show me one of my interviews in which I have said that Babar Azam is an average player or a tailender.” . “
The fast bowler added that in all my interviews I have called Babar Azam the best batsman of Pakistan and have said many times that it is a difficult task to bowl Babar in ODI cricket because of his excellent technique. So why would I call it a tail-ender?
The 31-year-old bowler said, “My approach was that as a bowler, my job is to take wickets regardless of the batsman.” He added that whether it is Babar Azam or a tail-ender, every wicket is very important as it benefits the team.
It should be noted that during the eighth edition of PSL, Mohammad Amir had said that it is the same for him to bowl to Babar Azam or any tail enders.
