In a control operation carried out by the Neiva Metropolitan Police, a man identified as “Baby” was captured, who will face charges for the crime of prisoner escape.

The uniformed officers of the SIJIN Criminal Investigation Section carried out registration and control activities in commune 6 of the city, when they identified and arrested this subject. Upon verifying his documentation, it was found that he had a current arrest warrant for the aforementioned crime.

“Baby”, as he is known, has a criminal record for other crimes such as drug trafficking and theft.. After his capture, he was placed at the disposal of the competent authorities and a guarantee control judge determined the measure of securing him in a prison facility.

Colonel Alexander Castillo Marin, head of the Neiva Metropolitan Police, called on citizens to continue collaborating with the authorities, reporting any situation that represents a threat to security and coexistence, through the emergency line 123.

This new arrest is part of the authorities’ continued efforts to maintain order and tranquility in the city, as well as to ensure compliance with the law and justice for all citizens.

Operations in Neiva

According to the commander of the Neiva Police, in the midst of the plans focused on security in the main week, 27 people were detained by the authorities for various crimes. In addition, two motorcycles were recovered, four firearms, more than 800 grams of marijuana and the recovery of 9 cell phones were seized.
