CIUDAD DEL ESTE (Local) The Ciudad del Este Consumer Price Index (IPC-CDE), basic basket items, in April 2023, presented an increase of 0.7% in prices in relation to the previous month, March.
The price of tomato presented, among vegetables and legumes, the greatest variation with 17%, while pumpkin registered 10%, cassava 9.8% and locote 8%.
Bovine meats, on the other hand, presented a decrease of 0.6%, highlighting the brisket, which had a 10% price reduction, the first rib by 4%, the second rib by 3.5% and white meat about 3.3%.
The IPC-CDE project, executed from the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the UNE, aims to calculate the Consumer Price Index on a monthly basis, contributing to the population regarding price variations of common products of the family budget.
