Beijing recruits fresh graduates to serve as bait for rural “civil servants” to support agriculture | Employment | Epidemic

[NTDTV, Beijing time, May 24, 2022]The epidemic is spreading and the economic recession is spreading. The employment situation of Chinese university graduates is grim. The Beijing authorities and other places issued an “announcement” to recruit college graduates to support agriculture in rural areas. People think of the movement to the mountains and the countryside in the past.

A few days ago, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security issued an “announcement” stating that it plans to recruit 461 college graduates to serve as “rural revitalization assistants” this year, all of whom will be arranged to work in rural areas to support agriculture. After being hired, a labor contract will be signed with the township and the contract period is 5 years.

According to the “Beijing Rural Revitalization Assistant Commissioner Management Measures (Trial)” issued earlier by the Beijing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, if the rural revitalization assistant commissioner’s contract expires and the assessment is passed, civil servants can be recruited.

The CCP has been recruiting fresh graduates to support agriculture in rural areas for many years. Fearing social problems caused by severe unemployment, the CCP began to mobilize various forces a few years ago to solve the employment problem, including the expansion of higher vocational college enrollment and grassroots employment (college students when Village officials, three branches and one support, the Western Plan, etc.), enlisting in the army and other means. Supporting agriculture reminds many people of the “Going to the Mountains and Going to the Countryside” movement in the 1960s.

In addition to Beijing, many other places have also released their own “three branches and one support” plans. Among them, @sichuanrenshe issued an announcement: In 2022, the province plans to recruit 1,539 college graduates to work in towns and villages. Among them, 184 people support education, 507 people support agriculture, 429 people support medicine, and 419 people support rural revitalization.

Guangdong Province also released the “three branches and one support” plan for college graduates in 2022. It plans to recruit about 3,000 college graduates to engage in “three branches and one support” and “voluntary” services, and the service period is two years.

The epidemic continues to spread this year, and even municipalities directly under the Central Government, such as Shanghai and Beijing, which absorb a large number of graduates for employment, have also closed their cities one after another. At the same time, the number of Chinese college graduates exceeded 10 million for the first time this year, and is expected to reach 10.76 million, a record high.

In response to a large number of graduates who are unemployed after graduation, the CCP recently issued a document calling on graduates to be devolved. On May 4, the People’s Daily, the CCP media, published an article on its front page, “In the New Era, the General Secretary looks to the youth like this,” and then mentioned “going to the mountains and the countryside”, asking college students to “go to the places where the motherland needs them most.”

Regarding the CCP’s recent active promotion of the “three branches and one support” plan, Epoch Times columnist Wang He told NTDTV that the CCP’s “three branches and one support” plan has been going on for many years. Rural revitalization, strengthening the construction of grass-roots cadres and talent teams”. But its treatment is not high, there is no preparation. At present, there is a lot of pressure on the employment of college students after graduation. This limited number of “three supports and one support” has little practical help in alleviating employment difficulties, but it can be used as propaganda to talk about how the government is doing everything possible to promote the employment of college students. “

As for the statement mentioned in the Beijing announcement, “the civil servants can be recruited for targeted examinations after the expiration of the period and passing the assessment.” Wang He believes that this is actually a “bait”.

Wang He said, “In recent years, the economy and employment environment have not been good, and the society’s intention to choose a career has reversed. It is very popular to take the civil service examination. Graduate students from famous universities are all going to work as sanitation sanitation. Limited, there are strict restrictions on the establishment of civil servants, and it is impossible to allow entry. Now, if you work in the countryside for two years, we will provide you with some discounts as a civil servant, so that some college students can be cheated in. You know, ‘three branches and one support’ is more Being a ‘village official’ is a long way off.”

“In addition, the CCP’s grassroots regime has always been a big problem, with serious underworld and hooliganization. The ‘three branches and one support’ policy is just an embellishment and has no effect at all.” Wang He said.
