Investments to increase the productivity of the composting site and to activate the line that is missing from the plant: that for the production of electricity or biogas. On the day of the official settlement, the new sole director of Salerno Pulita, Vincenzo Bennet, aims the development chances of the subsidiary on the resources that could come in the future from the modernization of the composting plant managed by the company. Rather than asking the Municipality for new funds through the modification of the service contract, Bennet plans to raise money by not only expanding the capacity of the compound processing plant (from 24 thousand to 40 thousand tons per year) by also treating organic waste in other municipalities. Above all, the administrator’s plan focuses on the reactivation of the anaerobic management cycle and on the subsequent cogeneration – possibly in biomethane – to be made available, for example, to the municipal fleet. For this reason, Bennet asks the Naples administration for “quick choices”, saying he is ready to resort to national funds and concessions in order to accelerate.
