The Central Meteorological Observatory has issued a blue warning for strong winds in several regions in China. According to the China Weather Network, from 8:00 am on February 4 to 8:00 am on February 5, there will be strong winds of magnitude 5 to 7 and gusts of magnitude 8 in southern Xinjiang, northern and western Tibet, western Qinghai, Taiwan Island, and other areas. Additionally, some sea areas will experience strong winds of magnitude 7 to 8 and gusts of magnitude 9.
From 8:00 am on February 5 to 8:00 am on February 6, strong winds of magnitude 5 to 7 and gusts of magnitude 8 are expected in the southern Xinjiang Basin, Tibet, western Qinghai, and Taiwan Island. The Bashi Strait will experience strong winds of magnitude 7 to 8 and gusts of magnitude 9, with winds reaching magnitude 9 and gusts of magnitude 10 in parts of the southern Yellow Sea and northern East China Sea.
The Central Meteorological Observatory and China Maritime Search and Rescue Center have reminded ships operating in affected sea areas to prioritize navigation safety. Fire prevention departments in forests, pastures, and urban areas are advised to be prepared for fire prevention, while transportation management departments should take measures to ensure traffic safety. Outdoor operations and recreational activities at high altitudes and on water should be stopped, and pedestrians and vehicles are advised not to stay under tall buildings, temporary structures, or trees.
