Thanks to the investigative work of Boyacá Childhood and Adolescence Judicial Police units, the capture of a 19-year-old subject of Venezuelan nationality was achieved for the homicide of a 13-month-old minor in the municipality of Paipa.
The captured person is the romantic partner of the victim’s mother, who, when left alone with the minor, hit her, causing serious injuries that caused her death.
The little girl, also of foreign nationality, was transferred to Duitama and later to the San Rafael de Tunja Hospital where her condition worsened as the hours passed, leading to her death.
At a hearing, the subject was charged with the crime of homicide and by order of a judge he was sent to jail.
