Heilongjiang Province Launches “Butterfly Cloud Valley China-Russia Connect” to Enhance Cross-Border Tourism

Heihe, Heilongjiang Province – On January 8th, the Heilongjiang Province Digital Cultural Tourism On-site Exchange Meeting and the launch ceremony for “Butterfly Cloud Valley China-Russia Connect” were held in Heihe City. The innovative platform aims to meet the diverse needs of cross-border travel in one convenient location.

As a border province, Heilongjiang is actively promoting cooperation between China and Russia in the field of cultural tourism. By harnessing digital technology, the province aims to empower smart cultural tourism and drive the transformation and upgrading of the cultural tourism industry. Heihe City, as a border city adjacent to Russia, has focused on developing characteristic cultural tourism and border tourism, making it the top destination for cross-border tourism to Russia.

At the meeting, experts and scholars shared advanced concepts of digital culture and tourism. The heads of the cultural and tourism bureaus of 13 cities in Heilongjiang Province, representatives of border port cities, and heads of key scenic spots participated in on-site learning and exchanged ideas. Ten border port cities also signed a cultural tourism cooperation agreement, signaling a collaborative effort to build an integrated big data service system for border tourism in Heilongjiang Province.

The “Butterfly Cloud Valley China-Russia Connect” application is based on the “China-Russia Cross-border Accessibility Service System” project. Utilizing platform computing, it offers one-stop services for cross-border tourism, including language support, transportation, information access, payment services, emergency assistance, and more. This new platform is expected to revolutionize the border tourism experience in Heilongjiang Province.

The launch of “Butterfly Cloud Valley China-Russia Connect” has already drawn the attention of Russian tourists in Heihe. By scanning the QR code, they can download the application and access its wide range of services. One Russian tourist, Sveta, expressed her excitement about the new technology, stating, “I have been to Heihe many times, but this software will definitely be useful in the future. It provides helpful services for accommodation, transportation, and various travel aspects.”

Hong Zaixiong, director of the Heihe Tourism Service Center, revealed that the digital human image is available 24/7 to provide bilingual intelligent conversations and assistance. This innovative approach emphasizes the city’s commitment to the development of the digital cultural tourism industry and the intelligent growth of border tourism areas. As digital technology continues to enhance the tourism experience, Heilongjiang Province is poised to become a leader in sustainable and innovative cultural tourism.
