Caltanissetta, dies of an illness after the halt at a roadblock

A 28-year-old young man was stopped at a checkpoint and fell ill and died shortly after. It happened this afternoon in Caltanissetta. The young Nyssian, Gaetano Ferrara, was traveling in a car with two friends when he was stopped by the carabinieri who at that moment were carrying out checks on the territory.

Shortly after, the 28-year-old fell ill. The military personnel contacted the 118 arrived shortly after on the spot. When the doctors arrived, the young man was already cyanotic. The operators attempted to resuscitate him on the spot and then transported him to the emergency room of the Sant’Elia hospital. Here he went into cardiac arrest. Doctors attempted CPR again but passed away. From the first investigations, he would have found traces of a narcotic substance in his blood.
