In Pitalito, the Judicial Investigation Section (SIJIN) managed to capture the alleged perpetrator of a homicide that occurred in the rural area of Isnos, Huila. The individual, identified as the alleged perpetrator of the murder of Neider Guaca Carvajal.

The homicide, the result of an act of intolerance, occurred on February 25 in the Sinaí village of Isnos. According to investigations, the detainee, under the influence of alcohol and in the middle of an argument, fired a firearm at Guaca Carvajal, causing multiple fatal wounds.
Colonel Carlos Téllez, commander of the Huila Police Department, highlighted that this capture is the result of the “Hunter” plan, aimed at executing current court orders against people involved in crimes against life. Téllez called on citizens to avoid excessive alcohol consumption and participation in situations of violence or intolerance, especially during the Mother’s Day weekend, classified as one of the most prone to violence.

After his capture, the alleged perpetrator was placed at the disposal of the competent authorities and was placed in custody in a prison. This fact underlines the importance of joint work between the community and the authorities to combat violence and guarantee security in the region.
