Dessel / –
A car left the road on the Oude Markt in Dessel on Thursday evening around 10.30 pm and crashed into the facade of a house. Two occupants of the car suffered minor injuries, the resident was unharmed.
It is not yet clear what the cause of the accident was. Possibly a slippery spot on the roadway had something to do with it, causing the vehicle to skid. The car crashed into the facade of a house on the Oude Markt, directly opposite side street Lukasstraat.
He rammed a piece of the wall and the garage door, but fortunately that was on the other side of the house than where the living area is located. The resident was quietly watching television inside at the time. She was unharmed, but was very shocked by the heavy blow. There were three people in the car: a man, a woman and a small child. The mother and her child were taken to hospital for treatment.
The house suffered quite a bit of damage as a result of the accident: the garage door was dented and the side wall showed a large crack due to the impact. But according to the fire brigade, the building was not uninhabitable for the time being. The house did not need to be propped up. The living area was not hit. (ho)
