On Friday around 1 p.m., an Audi driver who was heading towards the city center in front of the railway underpass came across the grass verge to the right. However, the green strip ends after a few meters at the sloping bridge support, onto which the Audi hit with its right front wheel. The car was levered out, turned sideways, flew with the roof down into the railway underpass towards oncoming traffic and crashed into the front of an oncoming car.
Both drivers were able to free themselves from the accident vehicles before the fire department arrived. They were treated by emergency services and taken to the clinic for further examination. Tübinger Strasse was closed for about an hour until the vehicles were towed away. The Rottenburg Stadtmitte fire department was on site with 16 emergency services
