The Hunters who make up the Mugnaia’s Honor Escort are always young and handsome, despite the passing of time, and always animated by primitive enthusiasm. “In the 2021 edition of the Carnival – explains Rino Tarantino, president and one of the founders of the group – the Scorta would have celebrated its 30th anniversary in 1991. The pandemic forced the organizers to cancel the event and we hoped to recover , the following year, the celebrations for the important anniversaries. Unfortunately, even the 2022 Carnival was skipped, we decided to celebrate, however, the event of our thirtieth anniversary and to do it in the best possible way “. “We decided – he continues – to create a poster, the first of the Scorta della Mugnaia, and, appreciating its well-known artistic qualities, we turned to Tiziana Cascio, architect and artist, through the intermediation of her daughter, our dearest friend. Alice Boni, splendid Violetta 2014. Once again Tiziana has done an extraordinary job and made us proud and satisfied for the work she created for us. The posters were printed in a limited edition, 150 numbered copies, by Tipografia Bardessono and we are also grateful to Paolo Bardessono, the owner, for his patience and for his precious collaboration in terms of valuable and effective advice ». The posters are on sale at Adele Papaleo’s Divina shop, in via Palestro, or on request, directly at the Scorta della Mugnaia. «The request of the Escort – Tiziana Cascio says – flattered me and I was happy to welcome it and to be able to create something for this militarily elegant presence within the historical part of the event. I did it with pleasure, mindful of the affable, protective and chivalrous trait expressed with generosity by the men who make it up towards my daughter, when she was Mugnaia. The result is the fruit of months of collaboration to grasp the peculiarities of each one and, through the study of photographic images and conversations, identify codes and rituals of their carnival action ».

And he highlights: “They explained to me that they are the men who make up the first Hunters Battalion of the Cisalpine Republic and that, with their beautiful uniforms recalling the colors of the national flag, they took the place, in defense and honor of the Mugnaia, of the old armigers similar to the Swiss Guards.
