Change at the top of the Treviso fire brigade, Costa arrives in command

He will take up service on Monday, also holding the regency of Vicenza. Commander Maiolo will go to lead the firefighters of Taranto

TREVISO. Change at the top of the provincial command of the fire brigade of Treviso, where the new commander will enter service from Monday 4 July Giuseppe Costa. The architect, coming from Vicenza, will also maintain the regency of the Berico command, until the appointment of the new manager. Costa takes Alberto’s place Maiolowho was promoted to senior executive and appointed commander of Taranto.

A homecoming for Giuseppe Costa, who served in Treviso as a technical officer, until he held the position of deputy commander from 1995 to 2017, after winning the competition in 1994 as a fire brigade inspector. He has participated as an official in most of the big companies national calamitiesincluding the 2009 earthquake of L’Aquila, the 2012 earthquake of Emilia Romagna, the 2016/2017 earthquake of central Italy.

In 2017, appointed manager, after attending the course, he took on the role of referent manager of public rescue, of the regional mobile column and of prevention and technical safety, at the regional fire department of Friuli Venezia Giulia. In 2018 he was appointed deputy executive of the Venice command. In July 2020 he assumed command of the fire brigade of Vicenza.
