The plenary session of the National Electoral Council (CNE), during ordinary session No. 1, appointed Viviana Velarde Rosero as director of the Chimborazo Electoral Delegation to replace Darwin Jarrín, who resigned from the position at the end of December 2023.
The CNE plenary session appointed a new provincial representative.
The new Director is an Administration Engineer graduated from the Chimborazo Polytechnic School (Espoch). Her long career recognizes her time in various Decentralized Autonomous Governments, including the Municipality of Alausí. Walking through public service opened the door for her profile to reach Institutions that ensure democracy, there her recognition and experience in electoral issues. Velarde knows electoral activity, from the administrative area to the value aggravating processes in electoral boards and political organizations. The new official will replace Darwin Jarrín, director who resigned from his position at the end of December 2023. Velarde will lead the Popular Consultation if it is consolidated.
