Christmas with the Covid vaccine, the appeal of Volley Treviso

The boys of Volley Treviso have made a video for Christmas in which they launch an appeal in favor of vaccination: “Not even the strongest striker can win alone”

With the arrival of the holidays, in this 2021 still ravaged by the pandemic, Volley Treviso wondered how it could be useful to the territory by supporting the vaccination campaign. The result is a video, produced in collaboration with ULSS 2 Marca Trevigiana, which sees the U19 / Serie B orogranata athletes as protagonists, spokesmen of a particular “Christmas wish”.

In the video the young volleyball players invite you to reflect on the fact that in volleyball, not even the strongest striker can win without his teammatesteam members to make cover when the opponent’s block succeeds in blocking it; in the same way, from the battle against Covid-19 one cannot come out winning alone, but playing for others, protecting oneself and the people around us.

The general director Ulss 2 Francesco Benazzi: «We sincerely thank Volley Treviso for the sensitivity and closeness shown. I believe that the appeal of these young athletes to vaccination is particularly important and meaningful. The message of young people who play sports, and for whom team spirit is therefore fundamental, goes straight to the heart of the problem: this pandemic that is putting a strain on all of us can only be defeated by remaining united, only with the spirit of one for all, all for one ».

The president of Volley Treviso David Moro: «In creating this year’s message we wanted to make our small contribution in support of the vaccination campaign. Volley Treviso, like the whole world of volleyball, immediately worked to ensure that there is great respect and an important sensitivity on the subject, because sport cannot be a place of fear, but must be an agora in which to make our young people grow not only from a sporting point of view, but also and above all in terms of values. A committed message in which 100% of the staff spontaneously participated, despite the young age of our athletes, gives me hope for a more aware future ».
