Riccardo Bossi, eldest son of the founder of the League Umberto Bossi, is under investigation for fraud against the state. According to investigators, between 2020 and 2023 he unduly collected citizenship income.
The public prosecutor of the Busto Arsizio (Varese) Prosecutor’s Office, Nadia Alessandra Calcaterra, has filed the notice of conclusion of the investigation and is preparing to request a referral to trial.
Riccardo Bossi, assisted by the lawyer Federico Magnante, exercised the right not to respond. He will now have 20 days to request to be heard and file defense briefs.
According to what was reconstructed by the prosecutor Calcaterra, the Senatur’s son received 280 euros every month for 43 months for a total amount of 12,800 euros. However, the provision of the citizen’s income was linked to the rent of an apartment as payment support. Apartment from which, however, according to what was ascertained by the investigators, Bossi had already been evicted because he was in arrears. Hence the accusation of the crime.
