A civil protection logistics hub, a national and regional warehouse in the Abruzzi section, but also a reference research and training center for the central-southern Italian territory and a site for exercises, trials and testing of materials, vehicles and protection equipment civil. The multipurpose gym in the Spinelle area of ​​Pratola Peligna, thanks to the agreement between the administration led by the mayor, Antonella Di Nino and the Abruzzo Region, will become a civil protection hub for central and southern Italy, following the interest shown in the structure by the Alpine zational association.


An agreement that will involve the acquisition on loan for use by the Abruzzo Region through the Regional Civil Protection Agency, of the structure which was never completed starting from 2003 and abandoned to itself since 2007 after the termination of the contract with the company who was supposed to carry out the work. The municipal council has in fact approved the resolution to grant the property in question to the Region on loan for a period of 30 years. The National Alpine Association will take care of what is necessary to restore the functionality of the structure itself. “With the vote of the Council which will be convened shortly, we will finally open the phase which will lead to a dilapidated and abandoned structure becoming a Civil Protection logistics hub until we arrive, for a complex of activities of considerable importance for our territory and point of reference for the central-south. It is yet another concrete result of our Administration”, underlined the mayor, Antonella Di Nino.
