First second level contract in the Somec Group company, with scholarships and incentives to graduate. “It is – explains the general secretary of the territorial Fim, Alessio Lovisotto – of a choice that exceeds the provisions of the national metalworkers contract which provides for 150 hours for the right to study of workers”

CODOGNE ‘. The first supplementary contract in the history of Oxin, the Somec Group engineering company that produces stainless steel kitchens for cruise ships and employs 100 employees, was signed last Monday at the Codognè company headquarters. The agreement was signed by the general secretary of the Fim Cisl Belluno Treviso Alessio Lovisotto with the RSU composed of Enrico Coan, Nico Battaglia and Katia Fardin and by the company represented by Diego Frattarolo with the assistance of Assindustria Venetocentro.

Many are the innovative elements of the second level contract signed in the Codognè factory, aspects that lead it to represent a unicum in the province of Treviso, in line with the profound changes underway in the labor market, marked in the post-pandemic by new phenomena such as that of the “great resignations”. Voluntary dismissals, especially among those under 35, not necessarily for economic reasons, but to look for a job and a work context more in line with their professional and personal expectations.

Companies are starting to reflect on how to avoid losing their talents, enhancing their resources and putting in place strategies for the so-called retention, that is to keep their employees in the company, focusing on welfare policies aimed at well-being, at the enhancement of resources and work-life balance. The agreement signed at Oxin goes in this direction, supporting parenthood, equal opportunities between men and women and the personal aspirations of its employees, such as continuing their studies, perhaps interrupted to go to work. For this year and for 2023, the company not only offers a scholarship of 750 euros for the children of employees who have achieved excellent results at school, also for employees who will graduate from high school.

“This is – explains the general secretary of the territorial Fim Alessio Lovisotto – of a choice that exceeds the provisions of the national metalworkers’ contract which provides for 150 hours for the right to study of workers and which goes in the direction of continuous training, concrete support to the employee who intends to recover an abandoned school path or raise their level of education, their cognitive abilities and their preparation, in a more mature form of apprenticeship. At the same time, this aspect of the agreement is a retention measure that aims to consolidate the overall well-being of employees and their aspirations, and also an economic boost to support training ».

Other aspects of the supplementary contract also go in this direction, starting with those related to conciliation. To encourage the integration of women in the company, eliminate disparities and favor the balance between family and professional responsibilities and a better division of commitments between the two parents, the agreement provides for an increase with an allowance equal to 10% of the average salary daily the treatment provided by INPS to the worker and / or worker on parental leave for the first 6 months of abstention from work up to the child’s sixth year of age, provided that the other parent has in turn benefited from at least 15 days continuous optional abstention.

A contribution of 400 euros to employees with children is also planned for this year and 2023 to reduce the incidence of the nursery fee on the family budget. The solidarity hour bank was then set up to enhance solidarity between colleagues through the possibility of transferring vacation shares to colleagues in difficulty. The Result Bonus has also been launched, up to € 800 during this year and € 900 next year (convertible into welfare with a 10% increase or into supplementary pension plans with an increase by the company of 20%), based on the achievement of targets established in terms of company profitability, productivity, quality objectives, presence. Finally, to incentivize workers to approach supplementary pensions, the company will contribute an additional amount equal to 0.2% of the contractual minimums in favor of workers enrolled in contractual supplementary pension funds.

«The workers – concludes Lovisotto – have many expectations of the agreement, not only for the Result Bonus, but above all for the attention placed on their well-being, on the aspects of welfare and reconciliation between factory times and life times. It is a modern agreement, the result of these times of great transformations in which workers are reconsidering their balance between private life and work commitment, placing greater attention on the personal sphere, health, well-being, the corporate climate “.
