It was after 7:25 p.m. when the driver of a dump truck transporting a water tank, which was traveling through the area, apparently did not stop the heavy vehicle and affected three other small vehicles that were in the area.
Those who witnessed the accident contacted ECU 911 to report the incident so that rescue personnel could come to help those who were involved in the accident.
At the scene of the events there were two injured people who, in particular, were taken to the emergency room of the Ambato General Teaching Hospital where they were admitted to receive specialized medical care.
