Conegliano, 40 million bees are arriving on the Unesco hills: the Prosecco Docg Consortium promises them

ENJOY. Elvira Bortolomiol, president of the Prosecco Superiore Docg Consortium, announced the arrival of 40 million bees to contribute to the sustainability of the Unesco Hills. This action will also be undertaken by the Prosecco Doc Consortium, as assured by the president Stefano Zanette. The Godega Fair hosted today, online, the update on the prospects of Veneto viticulture this year.

After the successes of 2021, despite the pandemic, in January the bubbles of Conegliano Valdobbiadene sold 70% more (in February, however, they dropped by 5%). Asolo, as reported by the president Ugo Zampironi, recorded a great January: more than 26.7%. The growth of Prosecco is also double-digit. It is a system, said Zaia, that flies towards a billion bottles. But, he put his hands on, “this is not a shooting star, but an established phenomenon.”

As for sustainability, the Consortia have announced the start of the recognition of the biodistrict, the beginning of a path to eliminate plastic in the vineyards and reduce chemical nitrogen.
