CONEGLIANO. A father from Pieve di Soligo who had been hospitalized in intensive care at the Conegliano hospital since Tuesday died of Covid at the age of 39. The man, of Albanian origin and employed in a company in Pievigino, was killed by the virus in just five days. He wasn’t vaccinated.
His condition had worsened earlier in the week, to the point of forcing him to be admitted to intensive care. “The whole community is deeply touched by the incident, it is a very well-known person in the village” comments the mayor of Pieve di Soligo, Stefano Soldan. «He worked in Pieve and was well integrated into the community. He leaves his wife and a child ».
He is one of the youngest victims since the beginning of the emergency in the Marca, a province that in recent weeks is grappling with a vast outbreak of Covid in the communities of Eastern Europe.
