According to official reports from the Ministry of Mobility, at approximately 6:25 in the afternoon, Traffic officers stopped a motorcycle-type vehicle occupied by two people, who did not wear the mandatory reflective clothing and wore helmets that did not comply with established regulations.

“At the stop signal, one of the agents requested that the motorcycle be turned off and the driver and the passenger made offensive comments against the traffic agents,” the authorities reported.

Subsequently, upon requesting the vehicle documents and driver’s license from the driver, he was unable to present the license, either in physical or digital format, within the required time.

According to official information, an aggressive reaction was triggered by the woman who was traveling as a passenger, who was pregnant. The situation came to a head when the woman verbally and physically attacked one of the traffic officers.

The other agents intervened to stop the attacks, but the situation continued to escalate until they were forced to request the intervention of the National Police. The woman was finally fined for fighting in a public space and by the Mobility authority, summons orders were generated for infractions related to the lack of reflective clothing and the absence of a driving license.

One of the agents, the competent authority reported, was injured in the altercation, presenting bruises and requiring five days of disability. The Ministry of Mobility has announced that it will take all necessary legal measures to protect the rights of its agents and punish violators.
