While the situation in hospitals is decreasing, with 212 admissions in non-critical areas (-6) and 50 in intensive care (-15), the number of current positive subjects is growing, which today are 12,537 (+99)
In Tuscany 654 cases. Average age 38, 7 deaths
In Tuscany there are 654 new Covid cases (632 confirmed with molecular swab and 22 by rapid antigen test), which bring the total to 267,976 since the beginning of the coronavirus health emergency. New cases are 0.2% more than the previous day’s total. The healed grew by 0.4% and reached 249,151 (93% of total cases). Today, 10,091 molecular swabs and 5,673 rapid antigenic swabs were performed, of which 4.1% were positive. On the other hand, 7,067 subjects tested today (with antigenic and / or molecular swab, excluding control swabs), of which 9.3% were positive. The currently positive are 11,832 today, -2.3% compared to yesterday. The hospitalized are 419 (7 less than yesterday), of which 40 in intensive care (1 less). 7 new deaths recorded: 4 men and 3 women with an average age of 66.4 years. These are the data – ascertained at 12 noon today on the basis of the requests of the National Civil Protection – relating to the progress of the epidemic in the region. The average age of 654 new positives today is approximately 38 years (22% are under 20, 32% between 20 and 39, 31% between 40 and 59, 13% between 60 and 79, 2% have 80 years or older).

Basilicata, 85 positives out of 1,494 swabs examined
Eighty-five of the 1,494 swabs examined in Basilicata in the last 24 hours were positive: this was announced by the regional task force in the bulletin on the progress of the epidemic, which also accounts for 41 people hospitalized (but none in intensive care). Fifty people recovered from covid, while 1,279 are in home isolation. In the last 24 hours 3,242 vaccinations were carried out in Basilicata: the Lucanians who received the first dose were 392,044 (70.9 percent) while those who also had the second were 311,189 (56.2 percent). Meanwhile, president and councilor for health of the Basilicata Region, Vito Bardi and Rocco Leone, underlined a figure of the Gimbe Foundation according to which “Basilicata is the third Italian region for vaccinations in the population between 12 and 19 years”.
