There are 31,204 positive tests for coronavirus recorded in Italy in the last 24 hours. On the same day a week ago there were 37,756, the drop is a drastic -17.4%. The curve seems to have peaked: in the last 7 days (12-18 July) there were 645,492 cases, a decrease of 2.7% compared to the previous week.
The victims are 112 in one day, while a week ago there were 127 (-11.8% in 7 days). The total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic thus rises to 170,037.
There are 135,642 molecular and antigenic swabs registered today. Last Monday there were 188,153. The positivity rate is 23% today compared to 20.07% 7 days ago. This figure is therefore up today (+ 14.6%) after a decline that has been going on for days: in the last week it was 25%, down by 6.4%.
There are 41 new hospitalizations in intensive care registered in Italy in the last 24 hours, while on the same day a week ago there were 47 (-12.8%), while the weekly figure is up by 9.6%.
On the other hand, 417 patients are hospitalized in intensive care, 14 more than yesterday. Daily admissions are 41. There are 10,848 people admitted to ordinary wards, compared to 272 more than yesterday.
