Today there are 180,426 infections, down from the 186,253 recorded yesterday, January 14th. The dead are 308, yesterday there were 360. The discharged and healed today are 120,609. The data communicated by the bulletin of the Ministry of Health say so.
The trend of infections is also down compared to the same day a week ago, when the new cases were 197,552, or 8.7% less. On the other hand, the number of deceased continues to grow: compared to 308 today, a week ago there were 184 (+ 67.4% in 7 days). In the last 7 days (January 9-15) there were 1,975 deaths, up 44.4% compared to the previous week (January 2-8).

The rate of positivity decreased
They are 1,217. 830 molecular and antigenic swabs registered today. The positivity rate is 14.8% against 16.45% recorded yesterday. In the last 7 days (i.e. between 9 and 15 January) the average positivity rate was 16%, down 11.3% compared to the previous week,
Intensive care compared to 7 days ago
There are 141 new hospitalizations in intensive care registered in Italy in the last 24 hours, an increase compared to yesterday’s number (136). While on the same day a week ago there were 154 (-8.4%). last 7 days (January 9-15) 1,030 people entered covid intensive care, an increase of 9.2% compared to the previous week (January 2-8).
