Last day of the Serie C championship, in group C Monopoli is called to win the three points against Messina, to place themselves in the best position in the ranking in view of the now inevitable play-outs.
The “Vito Simone Veneziani” stadium appears quite packed, in fact there are over 2,500 spectators of which around 200 came from Sicily. Good support from the compact Curva Nord who, for the entire ninety minutes, supported their favorites on the pitch, to push them towards the final victory; powerful and well-made choirs alternate, on the steps, with clapping accompanied by drums; the chromatic touch to the sector is guaranteed by the large banner placed on the window with the name of the city and by various flags and some large banners always blowing in the wind.
As for the guests, they position themselves behind their pieces, in the center of the sector dedicated to them and start cheering straight away, creating good support, even though their team is now safe; during the race they light several torches and smoke bombs and display a couple of banners to express their discontent with the company by making fun of the board game Monopoly and attributing the unexpected events of the game to their own company. They are well colored thanks to the banners and there is no shortage of chants against their cousins from Catania.
On the pitch the match ends with a 2-1 victory for the home team, with both teams going to greet their respective fans.
