Covid, in Fvg 937 new cases and 12 deaths: the group with the most infections is confirmed as that of the under 19s

UDINE. Twelve deaths and 937 new infections, with the number of people hospitalized in intensive care falling to 26. These are the numbers on Covid in Friuli Venezia Giulia of the regional bulletin of Wednesday 22 December, which specifies that 9,835 molecular swabs have been detected 789 new infections, with a positive percentage of 8.02%, while 21,247 rapid antigenic tests were carried out, from which another 148 cases were detected (0.70%).

The under 19 age group is also confirmed to be the first contagion group, with 23.69% of new positives, followed by the 40-49 age group with 18.14%, the 50-59 age group with 15.69% and 30-39 with 11.74%.

On the same day there were also the deaths of 12 people: a 95-year-old woman from Pordenone (who died in an Rsa), a 94-year-old woman from Trieste (who died in hospital), a 92-year-old man from Trieste (who died in hospital ), a 91-year-old woman from Pordenone (who died in an Rsa), an 89-year-old man from San Giorgio di Nogaro (who died in hospital), an 87-year-old man from Sacile (who died in hospital), a 77-year-old woman from Trieste (who died in hospital), a 73-year-old woman from Codroipo (who died in hospital), a 73-year-old man from Paluzza (who died in hospital), a 73-year-old man from Torreano (who died in hospital), to whom add two men, both 65 years old and from Trieste, who died in hospital.

People admitted to intensive care, as mentioned, drop to 26 while patients hospitalized in other departments drop to 293.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, deaths have risen overall to 4,154, with the following territorial subdivision: 986 in Trieste, 2,069 in Udine, 762 in Pordenone and 337 in Gorizia. The totally healed are 132,928, the clinically healed 329, while those in isolation amount to 7,816. In the same period, a total of 145,546 people were positive, with the following territorial division: 35,246 in Trieste, 61,363 in Udine, 29,111 in Pordenone, 17,799 in Gorizia and 2,027 from outside the region.

The total of positive cases was reduced by 3 units following as many antigenic tests not confirmed by molecular examination.

As far as the regional health system is concerned, the positive aspects were found: of a nurse from the Giuliano Isontina university health care agency; a technician, a doctor and a nurse from the Friuli Centrale University Healthcare Company; of an administrative officer of the regional health coordination agency. Among the guests of the residences for the elderly in Friuli Venezia Giulia there are three infections (Trieste and Gradisca d’Isonzo), while there are four positives (Codroipo, Mortegliano, Ampezzo and Trieste) among the operators who work there.
