Up 182% to around 130,000 from December 27 to January 2
(ANSA) – ROME, JANUARY 03 – India recorded almost 130 thousand cases of coronavirus in the week that ended yesterday (December 27-January 2), 182% more than the 46,073 infections of the previous week. According to the Times of India, this is the strongest increase ever since the beginning of the pandemic. The previous record weekly increase (+ 71%) dates back to 5-11 April 2021, recorded during the second wave of Covid in the country. (HANDLE).
