Three formations in the playoff area and two in the playout is the current situation of the Canavese men’s and women’s Serie D teams. After ten days in the women’s group D in the playoff area (the first six classified by regulation) we find Calton, the San Giorgio team, third in the standings at 22 points and Fortitudo Chivasso, fifth with 19 points, while in the same group, but in the playout area (from seventh to twelfth), there is RivaCastel volley, eighth in the standings with 13 points.

In the men’s field then, in group A the Montanaro is second in the standings, with 18 points collected in 8 games, behind Domodossola at an altitude of 21 and therefore in the middle of the playoff area (in this case only the first 5), while in group B, Borgofranco volley, with just seven points won in the eight games played so far, is seventh and in the playout area (the teams involved are only the last four of the group).

The best Canavese team is therefore Calton, with the president Paolo Bruno who is satisfied, saying: “We are doing well and we do not hide the fact that the goal at the beginning of the season was to stay as high as possible and play the playoffs, remaining among the teams until the end. first six – explains Bruno -. We know very well that the top of the standings is very difficult because Volley Cigliano is the strongest team in the group and deserves an eight-point advantage over us. Then there will be the derbies against Fortitudo Chivasso and RivaCastel, matches that will be very heartfelt and therefore very difficult to face. Now, however, the most difficult match is that of Giaveno: for this reason in this Christmas period we will continue to train on Tuesdays and Fridays in the gym, at the Falconieri di San Giorgio and one of the fundamentals on which we will have to work is reception.
