Crowded church and red roses for a final farewell to Roberto Cavalli – News

The Basilica of San Miniato al Monte in Florence is packed for the funeral of Roberto Cavalli, the Florentine designer who passed away last Friday at the age of 83. A long and heartfelt applause, amidst the emotion of the relatives and many of those present, greeted the entry of the coffin into the church, covered with red roses and accompanied by a black and white photo of the designer.
Many representatives from the world of fashion participate in the last farewell to Cavalli, such as Toni Scervino, Leonardo Ferragamo and Sandro Fratini, but also from the world of entertainment with Carlo Conti, Leonardo Pieraccioni, Afef Jnifen, or Paolo Ruffini. Former Prime Minister Matteo Renzi sent a wreath of flowers. Present for the Municipality of Florence are the deputy mayor Alessia Bettini and the welfare councilor Sara Funaro.
