TREVISO. A great cycling party, a community of enthusiasts who came together to share the pleasure of sport, but also to get to know a territory, feel good, experience authentic emotions. These are the words spoken and shared by the organizers and partners of the first edition of Nova Eroica Prosecco Hills, which saw 1200 cyclists from more than 20 countries at the start.

World champion Paolo Bettini, who rode with the Wega team, the Olympian Soraja Paladin, of the CANYON // SRAM team, Giovanni Visconti, Mattia Viel, the founder of Eroica Giancarlo, will also start in the shadow of Susegana castle Brocci, but above all a colorful “tide” of faces of all ages, united by smiles and surrounded by a panorama that represents the best of this territory: hills, vineyards, castles, wonderful roads.

The beautiful words of Giovanni Visconti are emblematic: «I appreciate more and more and participate with joy in these events where you can enjoy the pleasure of cycling, without the frenzy that I experienced in my life as a professional. It is nice to see this movement in great growth ».

The desire to push on the pedals exploded on the 4 timed sections planned on the routes and a healthy competitive spirit was seen, an essential part of that idea of ​​heroic cycling that made this event a success.

The first edition of Nova Eroica Prosecco Hills was a success as a result of the synergy between individuals, institutions and companies, which understood the potential of quality sports tourism.

«With the Nova Eroica Prosecco Hills begins a season where bicycles will be protagonists on the Hills: from the Giro d’Italia to the Criterium Stars. Sporting events that contribute to giving visibility to the landscape beauties of the area, but also to promote our food and wine products: from Prosecco Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG to local products of ancient tradition. Beyond sports competitions, in fact, this is precisely the added value of slow tourism: it allows you to get into the heart of the territory and savor it at the right pace.

To confirm the quality of the event and the essential role of the partners, the refreshments along the route, where participants found Prosecco Superiore di Conegliano and Valdobbiadene and typical local products, were set up thanks to Confagricoltura Treviso and the Prosecco Protection Consortium Superiore di Conegliano and Valdobbiadene: a quality appreciated by the Italian and foreign participants, who lingered for a long time in the four refreshment points set up along the route.
