No responsibility emerged for the death of Martina Sviluppo and Paola Viscardi
There will be no judicial aftermath for the death of the two young women mountaineers who died of frostbite on Monte Rosa last Saturday. The Alpine Rescue of the Guardia di Finanza of Cervinia filed a report on the incident from which no responsibility emerges for the two deaths. The prosecutor Manlio D’Ambrosi thus closed the file without the hypothesis of a crime or under investigation.
Twenty-nine-year-old Martina Sviluppo, from Crevoladossola, and twenty-eight-year-old Paola Viscardi, of Trontano (Verbano Cusio Ossola), lost their lives at over 4,000 meters on Monte Rosa while they were engaged in an outing with twenty-seven-year-old Valerio Zolla, from Pettenasco (Novara) . The three were stuck at high altitude due to bad weather. The two women could not survive while the 27-year-old was taken to the hospital with some frostbite.
The funeral is scheduled for next Wednesday.
