An anonymous letter sent to the family’s lawyer, the lawyer Giacomo Frazzitta, containing new elements “which were not known through the media and which have been partially found”.
A “bounty” for those who will provide useful information for the investigation, with a sum made available not only by an Italian-American entrepreneur but also by a voluntary association. 17 years after the death of Denise Pipitone, the child kidnapped while playing in front of the house in Mazara del Vallo, the impression is that the story may be close to a turning point. The lawyer Frazzitta is also convinced of this, who last Wednesday, during the television program «Who has seen it?», Asked the anonymous person to take a further step: I ask to be able to contact me ensuring maximum confidentiality ».
A request reiterated yesterday also by Denise’s mother, Piera Maggio, with a heartfelt appeal on social media. “I turn to the person in the anonymous letter sent to my lawyer. I ask you to make yourself heard, in the ways you see fit, to make sure you put an end to all this pain. Not only us, it is the whole of Italy that asks him ».
Up to this moment the witness, who allegedly told in his letter some important details relating to the phases following the kidnapping, has not yet made himself heard. The lawyer Frazzitta, for obvious reasons, does not reveal the content of the letter but says he is confident about the possibility of continuing this “remote dialogue” and of being able to have other fundamental elements to reconstruct the story. The lawyer uses a metaphor: “It is as if we were composing a huge puzzle, we have a few more pieces but it is not yet sufficient to have the overall picture.”
The criminal lawyer, always referring to the anonymous, underlines that the letter does not refer to Anna Corona, the ex-wife of Piero Pulizzi, natural father of Denise, under investigation for kidnapping and murder, whose position has been archived, and to his daughter Jessica Pulizzi, Denise’s half-sister, tried and acquitted with a final sentence.
Meanwhile, a voluntary association of Mazara del Vallo has collected 5 thousand euros to be allocated to anyone who will provide useful information to track down Denise. An initiative that joins that of the Italian-American entrepreneur Tony Di Piazza, former vice president of Palermo football, who had already made € 50,000 available ten days ago with the same goal. «It is the signal that something is changing and that the wall of silence is crumbling also in Mazara del Vallo. We would like to demolish it definitively, but at this moment it is like wanting to scratch the reinforced concrete with a screwdriver … ».
